Human cleansing?

Question

Human cleansing?
this may seem wrong but bear with me. does it not make sense for the greater good of our species? why not kill everyone whos serving a life sentance? midgets? the handicap? blind and deaf? if you cant pass a certain health test who do you deserve to live? we dont keep around animals that are sickly do we? you wouldnt eat a burger from a cow that has health problems. with food becoming a concern, and space and polution wouldnt it be easy to cleanse the world starting with what we can call less valuable people? and lets leave jesus out of this one. lets do what evolution would have done if we hadnt ruined it.

Answer

Leaving out Jesus and morals and ethics, you are correct that is one solution to an ongoing problem. It is called a utilitarian sense of thinking. Like you said the sacrifice of less, for the prosperity of many. This is a selfless way of thinking because you are considering yourself within the group of people. Realizing with all good intent you could be one of the chosen, or one or more of your family members. I think if you had put this in the psychology section you would have got more rational answers. Philosophy is built on beliefs of what is, not scientific fact of what is, or choosing a stance without bias.brbrFor all intensive purposes so I do not get burned on the stake, this is not my opinion but it is the answer to the question asked within the ramifications of the question. Whether he or his family were selected is not part of this question, because by asking the question he is aware of consequence.
