How would you know that something is quotgoodquot, if you dont have anything quotevilquot to compare it to ?

Answer

I think I would still know it is quotgood,quot but I would, after making a number of such conclusions, almost certainly start to rank some as more good than others, eventually leading to a continuum, or range of goodness. Finally, perhaps very soon, I would begin to approach the lower range or endpoint and would need a name for it. Evil or bad is the kind of name I would probably come up with. Along about there I would have a more fully developed concept of goodness.
